Ive called ConDEm HQ s 10 times. They are clueless. I was given The Cabinet office number 0207 276 1234 but they can't tell me any thing. I'm working up a new list of numbers cos NOW I want to know the score.

They suggested that they phoned me back, then hung up before taking my number !

I got to keep some one looking for the answer to my questions for 10 minutes. They obviously were getting lots of calls cos they asked me if I knew which organisation was asking.

It seems your calls caused considerable disruption at various times throughout the day. I did manage to establish that there are no plans to re start the Govt e- petitions site.

A pleasant woman at LibDem HQ asked me if I knew why they were getting " quite a few calls about the e- petitions site".

I feel sure that if even more people had called then the effect would have been very effective in drawing their attention to the issue. I heard some great excuses why people didn't get around to it. I'll bet the excuses dwindle as the year progresses and as folk begin to feel it incumbent on them to participate against the Coalition.

Thanks to all who called. Shall we do it again then?

We should choose another date and do it again.
How about a fashionable Facebook campaign? Seems the modern thing to do if you want to rage against the machine.
