So it's off on my travels again. I hope to see some of you on my mini tour of the north. As some of you will know I have been recording most of my solo gigs this year and it seemed logical to make an album out of the best of the collected material. If you are coming to the gig then for a tenner you can pre-order the album. You will get the Live album BY MYSELF delivered to your address as soon as it is completed. Pre- order forms will be available after the shows and a personally signed receipt will be given for every pre-order.

If you can't attend one of the gigs but want to buy the album it will cost £11.99 inc postage. For details email ebbman@btinternet.com You will be sent a pre- order form and payment details.

peace

  2. 5th November!

Right - I have my coat wrapped round me; hat and scarf firmly in place - wellies on and off I go. I have a box of £10 notes adding up to £150 as I figured that is about the average spend on fireworks. Armed with matches I am off to my garden to set fire to the wonga!

What? You think I am crazy? Why? I am merely cutting out the middle man and just burning money as is that not what fireworks are doing in reality? Why walk to the shop as well apart from to get the beer so I can stagger around in my garden with matches in my hand!

Outside my home the sky is lit up and banging and cracking as dogs bark. I just missed a shower of debris as it fell after an explosion that must have been the best part of £50 going up in smoke.

My Dad used to freeze in our back garden as we stood watching with our sparklers at him desperately trying to make the catherine wheels spin on the washing line and the jumping jacks jump.

My children have NEVER had fireworks as I always made it clear that there were people starving and to burn money was almost like taking the mickey out of this just because we could. They never complained and I do not think they are incomplete as adults for this.

Am I going to set light to the £150? What do you think?

  3. Why don't you just quietly send your £150 to a charity of your choice and leave others to make their own decisions. I doubt you'll part with your money that easily and hope that your children will find other ways to enjoy themselves.

  4. Forget the arguments and check out the EBB at Hyde Park and the song Freedom. Absolutely amazing, both of them.

  5. I apologise if I have offended anyone I was just merely voicing an opinion. Everybody is entitled to their opinion some feel as I do others do not which is fair enough. There is really no need to be rude about it. As for leaving others to make their own choices well I cannot make choices for others. Are you suggesting that people should not voice their opinions if they do not agree with yours? Do you not agree with freedom of speech? You see this is how things get blown out of all proportion as you have decided I am a 'do gooder' and a 'kill joy for children.' I have decided that you are one of those people who spends £150 on fireworks! Why not instead be the mature adults we profess to be and discuss why we agree or disagree with fireworks and hopefully we would learn something or see things from a different angle. Not allowing or dismissing other opinions is what causes wars when peaceful debate would be far more productive the world over. If you and I had £150 each we would each spend it differently.

I was reading a book review last night and the reviewer said "This is a very good book. It is well written and informative. The only thing that ruined it a little for me was the author's left wing bias." Another reviewer might have said "his left wing opinions." A different reveiwer might not have mentioned this at all. A left wing reviewer may have concentrated on selling the book with the hope of people reading more about left wing politics.

If we were not all different we would all be the same!

Yes EBB at Hyde Park is amazing - sound quality is excellent too!
